updated 25 August 2013 i have now uploaded a second pdf, which contains the pattern for a full sock using my forward-facing sheep. If you want just the foot charts, download “Flock for your Feet;” if you want the pattern for the whole sock, download “Revenge of the Lawn.”

i had a blast knitting CaouaCoffee’s Sheep May Safely Graze pattern, but knew i would have to do something other than solid stockinette feet if i wanted to not lose track of rows. i came up with some forward facing sheep for the instep, and a fun boxy pattern for the sole.

“Flock for your Feet” is not a full sock pattern – it is a set of charts plus detailed instructions for the foot portion of the socks – sort of a supplement to the original pattern.

Errata

  • If you are using Magic Loop, you will need to slip the heel stitches onto a spare dpn before picking up your gusset stitches in order to ensure that they are orientated correctly.

  • For Revenge of the Lawn, the first round after the cuff (before starting the chart) should be worked entirely in CC. Otherwise, one of the sheep will get blended into the cuff.
