This pattern can be found on pages 50-55 of Knitting Green: Conversations and Planet-Friendly Projects, by Ann Budd with contributions from some of the knitwear industry’s leading designers.

In addition to designing great knitwear, Véronik Avery has spearheaded a new line of yarn with a small carbon footprint. Called St-Denis after her maternal surname, this sportweight yarn is entirely grown, harvested, processed, and distributed in North America—no transoceanic transportation involved. Véronik doubled the yarn to make the casual hooded pullover shown here ideal for cold climates. She worked the body in the round from the lower edge to the armholes, then worked the back and front separately to the shoulders. A simple texture pattern at the yoke sets off the V-neck shaping.
