These socks are designed for wear with ballet style shoes - they use less than 50g of sock yarn for the pair! Please note that they are intended for wear inside shoes rather than on their own. For this reason, there is alot of negative ease, and the heel is rather shallow. The completed sock will end up being shorter than your foot; this minimizes the amount of sock that shows at the toe of the shoe.

March 22, 2008 - I have amended the instructions for the toe on the original blog post.

If you have very tiny feet, you might want to skip the round between the decrease rounds on the toe to make the toe even shorter.

June 24, 2008 - I corrected the last line of the “turning the heel” section - it should be K16, Sl1, K1,Psso
