The ribbed openwork in this stunning cardigan makes it great for many body types. It molds nicely to your curves, especially with the tie at the waist, and flares out slightly at the hips.

This cardigan is worked from the bottom up in pieces, then sewn together. The front edges are worked in attached i-cord, which is continued across the back neck after sewing the fronts and back together. I-cord ties are used to secure the sides. If you prefer, you may use a snap to secure the inside front edge.

The 2-row lace pattern is presented in written format.

Model knit in Merino Wool by Frog Tree (100% merino, 50 g skein = 137 yards): #511.

Needles and Notions: One pair size 7 (4.5 mm) knitting needles, OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE; one pair size 6 (4 mm) double-pointed needles (dpn); 1 extra large snap (optional).

Gauge: In Openwork Stitch, 22 sts and 27 rows = 4”/10 cm.
