About the pattern

This shawl is worked from the top down, center out, increasing every 8th row through the main chart then each segment is divided and worked independently to finish the scalloped border.

The pattern is written for a three-quarter circle shape but can easily be adapted for a half-circle shape by working 7 instead of 11 repeats of the Main Chart or as a full-circle with a slit by working 15 repeats of the Main Chart. The cast-on and Set-up Chart will need to be adjusted for either of these variations.

Throughout the pattern, percent of yarn used is indicated. To ensure you have sufficient yarn for your project, weigh your yarn before starting and then weigh the remainder at any waypoint indicated in the pattern. If you have used the same percent or less than indicated, you have sufficient yarn to complete the project.
