A fun pattern to knit! Easy garter stitch!

The first two mittens shown with the ice cube are knit in Plymouth Galway on size 7 needles. Pattern requires about 400 yards, 200 of each color.

The mittens shown featuring the thumb are knit in Worsted weight wool from Gale Woods Farm, on size 8 needles.

Imagine how great these would look in a variegated yarn!

These are knit back and forth and then seamed along the outside of the hand (opposite the thumb) and across the finger tips.
The shaping for the top of the fingers and thumb is done using the short row method, which is explained in the pattern.

Each row for each of three sizes is completely written out.

Pattern written for three sizes.
Pattern is 8 pages.
Includes photos of each step as it is finished.
