Let’s face it. Women are all different shapes and sizes. We do not fit neatly into a preset list of five, six, or even seven sizes. Some of us have tiny rib cages with a large bust. Others of us have a modest bust, but a thicker torso. While some do fit easily into standard sizes, those that don’t have to struggle to alter patterns to make the garments fit their very individual bodies. I crunched the numbers (my calculator was smoking) to come up with a pattern that will fit smoothly over most shapes. Cast on based on your hip measurement, decrease down to your underbust, then increase out to your bust measurement. You can adjust the pattern following my tables to fit your personal measurements. Hopefully, you will find yourself lazily knitting along, with nary a modification in sight.

Lazy Susan is knit with that classic workhorse yarn, Cascade 220, combined with a luxurious mohair/silk glitter blend. The empire waist adds definition to the underbust and accentuates your curves. The flared hemline keeps the sweater from hugging your hips and is knit in eyelet stitch just for something pretty at the edges. If you would rather not draw attention to your hips, choose within the same color family. You still get the glitter and the lacy edge, without the eye being drawn to your hips. Knit the sweater with negative ease, as shown in the pictures, or if you prefer, knit a size closer to your own measurements.
