Error: in the pattern the written explanation for a centered double decrease is incorrect. Two stitches should be slipped onto the right needle from the left, the next stitch knit onto the right needle, and then the two slipped stitches passed over it. After a year of publication on ravelry this was just now pointed out to me! My appologies! I have no concept of right and left, hibestly I mean NONE, and this slipped past the tester.

Slouchy hats are my weapon of choice and, I confess, I am a “Twilight” fan. I set out to recreate the hat that Rosalie, my faveorite gal from the series, wore in a promo shot for the film. The original is an off white colour. I don’t wear off white much and I certainly don’t knit with it! I decided to dye some yarn in a Cullenesque colour instead. This pattern includes the dying tutorial for making the “Ice” colourway I used.

I do not look good in hats worn that low on the forehead like this hat was originally worn. I have bangs and I wear glasses…it just did not suit me. But when I pushed it back to my normal hat position and fell in love. It was everything I wanted and still reminiscent of Rosalie’s hat. I enjoy the super slouchy hat look but if you don’t I’ve included instructions and examples as to how to create various degrees of slouch.
