A cabled tree motif on the bottom right of the body grows out of deep ribbing, echoed in the vine like pattern that flows around the deep scoop neck. Fitted set in sleeves and hourglass shaping keep things simple and flattering so the focus is on the details.

Shown in sizes 32 with 2” / 5cm of negative ease at the bust and size 48 with zero ease at the bust.

Yarn
Worsted weight yarn with a suggested gauge of 4.5 sts per inch / 2.5cm. The embossed cable tree motif clearly requires a smooth yarn with very good stitch definition, following an irregular cable pattern like this isn’t terribly difficult but it is a lot of work so you don’t want to waste that with a yarn that won’t show it off. Skelf is casual but fitted, look for a yarn that will create a fairly dense, bouncy fabric at this gauge. The suggested yarn doesn’t look particularly exciting in the skein, once knit up its wool and cotton blend feels like a perfect old sweatshirt, but is much better looking.

Altering the length of the body will require a change in the yarn required of approximately 3% per inch / 2.5cm.

Needles and Notions
US 7 / 4.5mm circular, 24”/60cm or longer.
US 7 / 4.5mm dpns for sleeves and edging, any needles for your preferred method of working small circumferences in the rnd can be used for the sleeves, but working the narrow knit on edging may be a bit awkward with a long circular.
Scrap yarn for holding stitches.
Stitch markers, including removable markers
1-3 buttons, the buttons are decorative rather than functional so the size and number is up to you.
