Any fingering or sportweight yarn would work.  The appearance of the tiger eyes is very dependent upon blocking so a wool or wool blend is recommended. Bearfoot has a light mohair halo that didn’t obscure the design at all. Obviously you could use laceweight with whatever needle works for you.

The version shown was worked from the ends and then grafted together for symmetry. You could also knit from just one end until the desired length or use a three-needle bind off if preferred.

Approx. finished size: 6 x 72” (my version lengthened by nearly 20% during blocking, growing from 60 to 72”)
