I live in Benalla, on the south edge of town, opposite farmland. I am married and we’ve 2 children a boy (left home now) and a teenage girl who is on Ravelry Jialuvsdogs. She is the brains behind setting me up as a designer since she has done it herself.
I was also the carer of my daughter 16, who had a severe disability however she passed away recently so I am recovering by making and designing. I love to knit, sew, felt, crochet, embroider, smock, do patchwork, bead….. I give any craft a go but these are the ones I like. I just started spinning again after a 25 year break. I was taught how to spin when I was a teenager and bought a wheel with one of my first pay checks, which I French polished, so it has been just a piece of furniture for years. it’s lovely to use it again.
I am addicted to colour and it inspires me consequently, I collect yarns, fibres (especially coloured wool/silks) as well as fabrics..
I have more ideas than I can complete in a lifetime but I try….

I am the ideas lady for a small craft group at my church on Tuesday mornings.

My Ravatar is a dainty swallowtail butterfly which we had fed with our orange and lemon tree leaves as a caterpillar and then it hatched. The photo was taken as it warmed up in the sunshine on my hand, then a few moments later it was in the air flying into the clear blue sky!
