Greetings! After more than a decade of designing for magazines and publishing books - seven to date! - I decided to take some time away to work on what has now become TICKER KNITS a stranded knitting technique which repeats the same word across a line - just like a ‘ticker tape’ and stacks the words as well. I am fascinated by both language and knitting and what better way to express one’s design ideas than in combining the two. The first Ticker Knits booklet, Oh Boy: Knit What You Mean was a collection of matching hats and cowls. It was important to perfect the hat and cowl shaping as much as getting lettering designing correct. The second Ticker Knits book, IMHO : In My Humble Opinion is all about using the ACRONYMS that cover the verbal landscape today….and best yet, the Ticker Knit Method allows one to easily customize my designs to make then YOUR designs and ideas. So got something to say? Knit-What-You-Mean
