I started knitting when my Oma taught me when I was barely 8. I used to make heaps of garter stitch scarves and never knew how to bind off. I would go to it occasionally to make someone I thought might like a scarf to make one, but never really expanded my knitting skills until April 2012 when I dove into lace. Now I am looking for more things to challenge me, as well as make my own patterns and to share them with those who are interested. Shawls and accessories are my passion!

Crochet I have been doing only recently. My mother taught me the basics of granny squares but I soon got bored of that. I moved onto hats, dishcloths, blankets, then more complicated and lacy things. I made baby clothes for awhile but I got bored of them. I like to improvise a lot of patterns for toys but I rarely take pictures of them and give them away. I’ve grown away from crochet but it is my first love. :]
