Hello, I am Jennifer Wood of Wood House Knits. About 11 years ago when my daughter was in middle school she had to read Witch of Blackbird Pond. She was very intrigued by the descriptions of the girls knitting and wanted to learn how to knit. So I bought a book, some yarn and some needles and we both learned how to knit. She soon got bored with it, I on the other hand was completely hooked. As the years went on and I learned more, I found myself altering patterns more to my taste. Finally I decided to take the plunge and start designing my own patterns, which led to Wood House Knits. I have had designs published in Knitty, Knit Simple Holiday, Interweave publications and several other places. I love designing! The process of having an idea in your head and bringing it to life fascinates me. I feel very blessed that I am able to do something that I enjoy so much.
