I have been a knitwear/fashion designer and author for many years as well as teaching knitting and crochet and lecturing in fashion and fashion history, which is my particular interest. I gain much of my inspiration by looking back and interpreting these ideas for today.
I am the co-author of A Stitch in Time, Vintage Knitting & Crochet Patterns, 1920-1949 and my designs and articles have been featured in the likes of The Knitter, Knitting, Yarn Forward, knitonthenet, Knitty and Selvedge.
I am currently working on the ‘Vintage Shetland’ project investigating hand knitted garments in the Shetland Museum Archive re-interpreting and creating patterns from them. You can read about all my creative projects and more on my blog, Just Call Me Ruby.
You can find about all these things and more at www.susancrawfordvintage.com and my books and patterns can be purchased here or from my ravelry pattern store. You can view my single patterns available to download most easily by viewing on my ravelry page here
