A Child’s Pullover featuring the ‘Homes of Donegal’ motif on the front and upper sleeves; back shoulder extensions that underlap the front yoke; 2 buttons at yoke (may be replaced by snaps); I-cord trim; fold-back cuffs; side slits at hem; and Oblique Rib accents at hem, yoke, shoulders and cuffs.

From the pattern...
Construction Notes:The Back and Front hem extensions are knit flat in Oblique Rib, separately. These two pieces are then joined and the body of the sweater is knit in the round to the armholes; the motif is worked on the Front only. Past the armholes, the Front and Back are knit flat, separately. The Back extends over the shoulders and underlaps the Front. The Front is finished with an Oblique Rib band into which 2 buttonholes are worked (unless the knitter opts to use snaps instead of buttons); an I-cord bind off finishes the Front. Sleeves stitches are picked up around the armhole edge and Sleeves are knit in the round; an Oblique Rib band at the top of the Sleeve is followed by the small motif; the Sleeve continues in Stockinette and ends with a band of Oblique Rib which becomes the Cuff - which may be folded back or worn down; an I-cord bind off finishes the Cuff. The Neck edge is finished with I-cord as well.
