This month for our February 2022 Hat Crochet Along, I have designed a warm winter wearable for you to make. This soft and cozy crochet hat is perfect for cold and windy weather.

A quick video tutorial is included to show you how to make the herringbone crochet stitch used in this pattern.

The matching scarf pattern which is equally soft and warm is also available and linked in my post.

This project is crocheted with Jumbo Weight Yarn 7 and a 15 mm (P/Q) hook.

The pattern is available in sizes:
This hat is designed to fit to the base of the ear.

  • Small Child (3-5 years) Hat height approximately 7.75-inches X 16-inches circumference
  • Child (6-10 years) Hat height approximately 8.5-inches X 18.25-inches circumference
  • Teen (Adult Small) Hat height approximately 8.5-inches X 18.25-inches circumference
