This pattern is more of a technique. It combines alternating yarns every 2 rows, with double stranding in a way that is very easy to do and creates rich and subtle fabrics.

Gauge is not crucial, just make sure you have the width you want and knit for as tall as you want the blanket to be.

Change size by adding more sts and knitting more rows.

Needles: #15 or 13 US.

Yarn: 4 skeins worsted weight yarn, 190 yds. each, that will knit double stranded into a thick lush effect. Don’t be afraid to run out of yarn, simply go on with a similar yarn (or go ‘wild’ with a very different yarn).

If you make a ‘mistake’ - go on with a new color scheme. This pattern has no real color work, and if you are concerned about changing yarns, simply knit the yarns together for 1 st.

Border: the one I did is a ‘Log cabin’ effect, but other suggestion are included and are just as easy to knit.
