It all started with our plan to attend a book club that evening at the very friendly local yarn shop. Since we both had the day off, my friend and I decided to make a day of it, exploring two new cafés, relaxing, catching up and, of course, knitting and crocheting beforehand.

As she was binding off this awesome cowl, we were inspired to name it for our delightfully perfect day. We hope you will enjoy knitting and wearing it on your perfect days off.

The yarn is a sport weight cotton/silk blend from Misti Alpaca, Tonos Pima Silk. It had a lovely hand, which is incredibly soft and silky. Because it is so lightweight, it may be easily scrunched up to make a two-tiered cowl that is not bulky at the neck. This cowl is completely reversible and the classic pattern looks different on each side. It is 8 ½” deep x 70” in circumference after blocking. Gauge is 14 sts. over 4” after blocking.

It was knit with size 7 needles in 40” length.
