A simple, textured, and colorful sleep sack for a new baby.

-Approximately 225 yards of Color A worsted weight yarn
-Approximately 85 yards of Color B worsted weight yarn

Normally the ‘Checked Rose Stitch’ is worked flat with two right side or wrong side rows being worked one after another without turning the work. I have modified the stitch to be worked in the round for this pattern.
This stitch gives texture and color without the worry of getting the tension right while working two colors at once - only one color is worked on any given row.

The pattern calls for working stitches from the row below. If you are unsure how to do this, youtube has lots of instructional videos to help :)

NOTE: Do not leave babies unattended in this sleep sack or others like it to avoid the the risk of suffocation if the sleep sack slides up and covers the baby’s face.
