INTRODUCTION
The “Chikan Rose Pullover” is knitted flat in pieces. You will first make the front and then the back. You will work the sleeves flat. You will seam the front and back together using a mattress stitch for the side seams and a three needle bind off for the shoulders. The sleeves will be seamed using a mattress stitch and then joined to the body. This garment has a loose gauge and is intended to have a relaxed fit. Reference the sizing chart for body and garment sizes.

This pattern calls for one color of yarn. You can add a contrast color to the edge of the bottom front and back hems as well as the cuffs. To do this use a contrast color to cast on with. Then work two rows in the contrast color. Then switch to your main color. I don’t suggest a contrast color on the neck since it is a rolled brim.

I made an informative video about this pattern. It is available on YouTube. I discuss the pattern requirements, tools, yarn, ect. I discuss my reasoning for why I designed it the way I did. I suggest watching this video as you make your swatch.
