My dear friend Margaret asked me to design a cardigan for her doll and sent me some photos of similar ones she liked. She added some suggestions. I looked at them and came up with this lovely swing-front cardigan. Obviously I just had to write it up as a pattern!

Notions:
Yarn: Sal Sim Alize 25g. (Amount may vary so allow for extra yarn!)
Light Fingering / 3 ply

Needles: US 3/ 3 mm. (or those you need to obtain gauge)
Dpns if you want to knit sleeves in the round.
Darning needle.
Stitch markers or waste yarn to mark increases if desired.

Difficulty: Easy.

Gauge: 7 sts x 8 rows = 1 inch. In stockinette stitch

Instructions are given to knit the sleeves in the round or flat as preferred. The cardi is knit top-down. If sleeves are knit in the round it is completely seamless, otherwise there are just the sleeve seams to sew and yarn ends to weave in.
This is quick and easy to make.
