This shawl represents all things Fall for me - textured lace with strong slanted lines reminiscent of Canada goose migration, rich earth tones of amber dusty grey and relaxing bands of garter - perfect autumnal knitting in front of the fire, wouldn’t you say?

The shawl uses a fade kit of 5 colors, fingering weight or 200 yards per 50 g skein. You can also do a solid or striped version using full skeins of leftovers.

YARN
This shawl is designed to use 5 50 g skeins; about 200 yards each. You can either go with the nicely faded kit or the one with a bit of contrast.
I used Colour Adventures Exquisite Sport yarn - a luxurious mix of merino, silk and cashmere faded from light grey to rich rust.
