Feminine and lacy is the essence of the Angel Braids Shawlette. It is a triangular shawlette worked from the top down, with a center cabled panel between two lacey halves. The lace on the halves is a delicate Angel Lace. It is written for sport weight yarn, and I worked it in 2 skeins of Madelinetosh’s Tosh Sport Merino Wool yarn (270 yards per skein) in the Molly Ringwald shade. The border is a combination of knitted eyelets and crocheted scallops. When blocked, my shawlette is 6 foot in length and 25 inches at the center panel. This pattern is best suited for the intermediate to advanced knitter because of the detailed lace and necessary aggressive blocking required. Full written instructions, row counts and charts are included.
