This pattern is designed for use with 6 skeins (550 yards each - 3300 total yards) of our Superwash Merino Silk Pearlescent Fingering Weight yarn in colorway: ELVEN GROVE. The yarn is held double throughout the entire project. Choose any color you like, though. You’ll need a US Size H hook (5.00 mm).

Notes From the Designer:

•A cozy cardigan with a row of geometric cables along each side.

•This sweater is made using two strands of Pearlescent Fingering Weight yarn held together. This would be gorgeous made into a gradient sweater! Use various colors to blend and fade into one another.

•This is worked from the top down.

•The pattern is written with 2 inches of positive ease. Finished bust size 38(43, 47, 52, 56)“ indicated with sizes S(M, L, XL, XXL). Shown in size S.

•The pattern includes a diagram for stitch marker placement and a schematic for sizing.

•Instructions for full length and 3/4 length sleeves are included.

•Reversible design. It’s true! Turn it inside out and you’ll have a slightly different look!

My inspiration:

I designed this cardigan to be comfortable enough to wear with your favorite pair of jeans while exploring your favorite apple orchard or pumpkin patch.
The cable pattern on each side of the front panels resemble leaves from the trees when you block your cardigan and pin them open. The back side of these cables contains rows of puff or popcorn stitch, making the cardigan reversible.
I’m a huge fan of textured stitches and incorporated them into the main design feature and also into the border.
This pattern is totally customizable with directions for full length sleeves and also 3/4 length. More rows may be added to the body and to each sleeve for a fuller version.
