The Ariel Cable Shawl is an easy pattern to knit and it creates a luxurious and cuddly soft garment. It can be worn a variety of ways and is perfect for staying warm on blustery days.

Instead of the usual border stitches on shawls, the Ariel boasts a hint of a cable on the long sides and is trimmed with an I-cord on the shorter sides. Both edgings are easy to create and the result is amazing and unique! The cable border is complementary to the I-cord border which creates a wavy feminine design.

This beautiful shawl can be customized in length. Instructions are included for varying the length and for applying an I-cord.

Using bulky weight yarn and large needles, it knits up more quickly than imagined. This cape is a nice pattern for beginners who want to practice cabling and more experienced knitters who want a nice easy tv or conversation knitting project.
