My son asked me to make him a train scarf. After searching for hours and deciding that none of the patterns were what he wanted, I designed my own.

You can use any yarn on any needle as gauge really doesn’t matter. I am using some stash yarn that I inherited from my grandmother.

Right now this pattern is just a chart, but I fully intend to publish a full pattern once i am finished knitting it.

I cast on 32 stitches preparing for a double knit in two colors, the end stitches not being count on the chart. Further I started the actual chart after a few rows.

The chart is intended for you to repeat the passenger cars as many times as you want to increase the length of the scarf.

Have fun, hopefully a train lover in your life will enjoy this as much as my boy.

The discount has ended because I finished the scarf. My son did not want a caboose on the end, ah the whimsy of a 4 year old!
