This Baboushka doll is filled with toy filling, but you could add weight to the inside (such as a bag of gravel) to make this into a weighty doorstop or bookend. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the doll is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round), and the apron has a single crochet border.

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.75mm single pointed knitting needles (US5)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/280m skein in each colour

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, beads for eyes, and a 3.75mm crochet hook.

SIZES
One size only - 18cm tall.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
