The body and eyes are knit in one piece in the round on double pointed needles. Basic increases, decreases, and short rows are used for the shaping. The beak, wings, feet, and tail are knit separately. Alternated beak and feet options are provided. Photos and stitch descriptions are included.
The examples are knit with sport weight cotton and worsted acrylic yarns on U.S. size 3 double pointed needles, and are approximately 6 inches tall.
