The Bam Huey Handspun Twister Shawl, was designed using Bam Huey Twister yarn. Handspun Twister yarn uses 2 colorways that are plied together in a pattern to create a gradient look. I like to start with the darkest end for the lace edging.

My patterns are designed to bring out the best in handspun yarns.
This pattern’s width adjust easily by adding or subtracting the number of 12 stitch pattern repeats. Handspun skeins of yarn can come in many lengths and you don’t want to waste an inch of the precious yarn. With the Twister shawl you can keep on knitting until you finish the skein!

Don’t get too hung up on gauge with this shawl, it will work in a wide range of yarn size and needle size. Work a small swatch in seed/moss stitch. If you like how the fabric looks, it will work just fine, just be sure to do a little measuring and math to figure out how many repeats to cast on for.

Skills required: Knit, Purl, Sl 1, k1, psso. K1tbl (knit 1 through the back loop). Wrap and turn short rows.
