Meet Rascal, he’s the bandit of the Pocket Pal gang. These rascally little raccoons are soft little friends with a tummy pocket to hide a treat or a secret. Knit in sock weight yarn this mini pocket pal is a super cute way to try out mini skeins or to use up left over sock yarn leftovers. If you use a superwash variety of yarn your pocket pal will be machine washable.
Bandit is only 5 1/2” tall small enough to hid in your pocket.
you will need:
30 yards of the main color yarn and 15 yards each of 2 contrasting colors.
double point needles
a darning needle
2 button eyes
a little fiber fill
The body of the pocket pal is simple to knit and has short rows for shaping. A special fold creates the pocket when you sew it up.
The appendages are picked up with dp needles and knit in the round.
Make more than one and you can string them together by their bobble and loop hands. You can even hook them over a branch on the X-mas tree.
