DIY with this classic knit beanie/skullcap knitting pattern. This knitting pattern lets you create your own classic knit beanie in every size. These simple but classic hats can be worn any time of year. They are warm enough to keep your head cozy, but light enough to keep in your coat pocket just in case it gets chilly. These beanies are designed to fit snugly and are not slouchy. Wear them alone or under your ball cap or coat hood.

This is an easy to intermediate knitting pattern that requires knitting in the round and double point needles. Any worsted weight yarn should work for this pattern (check your gauge), but it was designed with Caron Simply Soft Yarn. Use Caron Simply Soft Solids for a single color hat or Caron Simply Soft Paints for a variegated look. Try it with wool, alpaca, or other fancy worsted weight yarn for a unique twist on a classic pattern. Included are complete instructions for Adult XL, Adult, Child, Baby, Infant, Preemie, and ornament size hats.
