Create a beautiful cable hat with a folded brim or a short brim for your messy bun or a pom pom hat with the same brim options.

This is a great hat for both experienced and beginner cable knitters. I tried to make the cables as easy as possible. All cables twist in the same direction with no alternating rows to worry about.

The type of yarn you choose will greatly affect the fit. The pattern was designed with Drops Air. It’s an Aran weight and a very fluffy yarn that works up loosely. Miss Babs Big Silk is Worsted Weight but it also works up great. An Aran or heavy Worsted Weight with silk or mohair will keep the cables from becoming too tight.

If you use a yarn without silk or mohair or if your cables knit up tightly, you may need to increase the size of the needles used.
