Reconstruction of a glove found by archaeologists under a building in the block ‘Bergsfogden’ in the town Falun in the Dalarna region in central Sweden. The glove has been dated to around 1600 and is the oldest example of tvåändsstickning found in Sweden.

The colour was originally blue and the cuff, that is knitted last and picked up from the cast on at the wrist, is finished with a couple of rounds of nålbindning.

’Bergsfogden’ is a profession, a manager of the mine.
