The Berkley Cowl is cozy and fashionable, full of texture and many styling options: partially or fully fastened with buttons off to the side or fully fastened with buttons centered in the back or front. Directions are given for three sizes: small (toddler), medium (child), and large (teen/adult). Tips on how to adjust the height and length of the scarf are also included. Made with super bulky yarn (Weight Category 6), this is a quick and gratifying afternoon or evening project.

PLEASE NOTE: The pattern for the hat shown in images 2 and 3 is NOT included with this purchase. You can buy these two patterns at a bundled discount price in my etsy shop.

Materials:

~U.S. 13 (9.00 mm) Straight or Circular Knitting Needles

~U.S. 15 (10.00 mm) Straight or Circular Knitting Needles (The Berkley Cowl is knitted flat but I often like to use circular needles if I will be carrying my work around to prevent any stitches from
slipping off)

~ Approximately 106 yards of super bulky weight yarn (Weight Category 6) for the adult size; less required for the smaller sizes. Example above was made using one skein of Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick.

~Five 1.25” round buttons for the Large Size, four for the Medium Size, and three for the small size

~Coordinating thread or worsted weight yarn for attaching buttons

~Sewing needle

~Tapestry or Yarn Needle
