Named for the oldest Lequime brother, Bernard Avenue is the gateway to downtown Kelowna and the heart of its Cultural District. Visitors to the iconic “main street” can take in Kelowna’s first stone building—built with stone quarried on Knox Mountain!—enjoy exceptional dining and artisan cafes, or shop in one of the many unique retail stores.

These textured, unisex mitts are knit bottom-up with a thumb gusset. Pattern includes options for three sizes.

MATERIALS

Yarn/Yardage: worsted weight yarn—approx. 120–170y (50–70g), depending on size and style knit.

Sample: shown in Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok Worsted (100% wool; plied; 123y/50g), using Wild Thyme (large).

Needles: 3.5mm (US 4) and 4mm (US 6) needles in preferred method for working in the round, or size needed to obtain gauge.

Notions: stitch markers, stitch holder or waste yarn, darning needle.

GAUGE

22 st over 4” / 10cm in pattern and stockinette stitch, with larger needles, after blocking.

(A different gauge will affect finished measurements and yardage requirements.)
