Design

The Bessie May Nettle Honeycomb Lace Throw is a striking two tone geometric honeycomb design, softened on each side by the framing of (crochet effect), three tier knitted lace. It is deep, soft and so warm, and ideal for tucking up under on a cold winter evening, which actually happens as you knit it.

Technique

This pattern is intermediate, with the lace framing made in four pieces, with a pattern rep that goes over 13 rows, decreasing at each end to create the corner fashioning. Knitted straight on long circular needles, as requires working with maximum of 190 sts. Central panel of honeycomb has a clever colour changing technique, as each row is completed in single colour, with stitches carried in front to create hexagonal shaping.
