A simple straight cardigan with basic shaping and none of the buttonholes! Graded as an Easy Intermediate, but should fit an Advanced Beginner also.

I have designed it just for the fun of it, primarily because I wanted to have a knitted doll cardigan with a plain knit area suitable for embellishment. Plain stockinet surface will hold iron-ons and hand or machine embroidery equally well. Not to mention buttons, beads, bows, and other what nots.
The rest of the cardigan is worked in moss stitch with 2 garter sts for the front bands. The neckline is finished with one row of picked and immediately bound off stitches.
My working gauge was 6 sts x 8 rows on both moss and stockinet stitches. Because I am a loose knitter you might need to size your needles up to get the gauge.

It’s quite a quick project that can be started and finished in one day.
