This textured cowl has just the right pop of color to brighten your day. It can also be knit in a solid color since there is enough contrast between the cowl’s double moss stitch center stripe and the garter stitch background of the rest of the cowl.

You will need about 200 yards (collectively of all colors used) of worsted weight yarn such as Cascade 220. Please note that you will need more if making a taller cowl. The colors Silver Gray and California Poppy (less than a skein each) was used to make the cowl in the photos.

The photos of the pink cowl are an example of this design worked in a solid color. One skein of Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Worsted in the shade Victorian Pink was used for it.
