This hat was designed by Susan Shabo, see her other patterns on Ravelry under “I’d Rather Be Knitting”. Susan is an amazing knitter, designer and my first real knitting teacher. She knit this hat up after the Boston Marathon Bombing and it is her hat. She insists it is mine because I helped her chart out the letters (but it is hers!) Most important, all the money raised from the sale of this pattern will go to OneFundBoston, the victims‘ fund, until the fund is closed.

It’s a sweet hat in three sizes, Newborn, Infant and Toddler. A quick knit in the round using Worsted weight yarn on US Size 7 needles. We hope next year’s Marathon Crowd is a sea of folks wearing the Boston Strong and Boston Love Hats!

Please note, in hat on right, test knitter alternated blue and black as the main colorcreating stripes, hat pattern calls for a solid background.
