Broken TV is a triangular shawl worked bottom-up. Simple stitch creates a dramatic, vibrant pattern. This project is perfect to play with color and use up yarn leftovers.

Pattern is both written (standard US terms) and charted.

Finished size (not including fringe): wingspan 79”/ 200 cm, depth 31.5”/ 80 cm. Size is easily adjustable.

Materials and tools needed:
• Fingering-weight yarn, 1875 yds/1715 m in total (1250 yds/1150 m for the shawl, 625 yds/565 m for fringe)
Color A (black) – 700 yds/640 m total (600 yds/550 m for the shawl, 100 yds/90 m for fringe)
Color B (off-white) – 620 yds/560 m total (360 yds/330 m for the shawl, 260 yds/230 m for fringe)
Color C (fuchsia) – 190 yds/175 m total (90 yds/85 m for the shawl, 100 yds/90 m for fringe)
Color D (emerald) – 200 yds/185 m total (110 yds/100 m for the shawl, 90 yds/85 m for fringe)
Color E (pink) – 165 yds/155 m total (90 yds/85 m for the shawl, 75 yds/70 m for fringe)
• 3 mm hook
• Tapestry needle and scissors
• Blocking pins
• 8”/20 cm winding board to make tassels
