This is a pattern for a baby/child’s hat. It has a cabled front with 2 interchangeable side charts so that you can create a number of different looks. There are also instructions on how to make the cabled front portion into a headband. The front edge forms a brim in order to help keep rain and snow out of your child’s eyes.

This pattern has charts for the cabled front portion. The back is shaped using short rows. Other techniques used include piking up stitches, making an I-cord, increasing and decreasing, and a three needle bind off.
