This took the better part of 2 balls of the Bernat and almost all of both balls of Hometown by Lion Brand. There are foundation crochet stitches used, triple crochet, front post triple crochet, front post triple 2 together, and some other fun stitches involved in this work. The good news is that because it is in a bulky yarn it works up very quickly-only 11 rows after the brim. One of my testers, Liz, used a contrasting bulky with the reflective yarn as the body of the hat and it came out adorable. The Bernat was stiffer to work with but softened up with a wash with fabric softener and the Hometown has been my favorite to make it with so far.
