This cute cactus appliqué is worked all in one piece, so you don’t need to worry about joining pieces. Gauge is not crucial and you can easily change the size of the piece by changing your hook/yarn. I used worsted weight scrap yarn and a size G (4.0mm) crochet hook and mine turned out to be approximately 2.5” x 2.5”.

You only need a small amount of yarn to make the appliqué. You can either leave it as it is, or stitch on extra embellishments using a tapestry needle and small bits of yarn.
