I love my hot water bottle! Is that sad? It often accompanies me on VW events and camping trips, just in case the British weather tries to do its worst!
With that in mind we have here a VW Campervan inspired Hot Water Bottle Cover pattern which you can knit for yourself. Of course it might just make the perfect gift for a campervan enthusiast too.
Great for using up odds and ends in your stash of yarn. Just think of all the colour possibilities!
The back on the bottle cover pictured was left plain but it’s easy to work the pattern on both sides if you want to.
The pattern includes charts as well as full instructions.
The cover takes approximately 50g of double knitting yarn (DK) in your main colour and then oddments for the snowflakes/campervan roof, trees, campervan body and window/wheels. It requires 3 buttons for fastening and was knitted on 4mm (UK size 8/USA size 6) knitting needles and fits a hot water bottle approximately 29cm/11.6″ long, 21cm/8″ wide with a neck of 6cm/2.5″.
