This is a very simple area rug pattern using two strands held together throughout. I used approximately 3/4 each of two large 12 oz. skeins of cotton, which worked nicely because I was able to complete the piece without having to cut any strands until the very end.

This would make a very nice addition to any room in your house and maybe even used for your favorite family pet.

Easy beginner project.
