This pattern is a simple jacket made into a pretty bolero by the addition of a fair-isle rose.

The pattern was originally published in the Australian Home Journal, 2 May 1949. It has been reprinted in the book “Vintage Knits: 25 classic patterns for modern knitters” by the National Library of Australia (May 2022) under the new name “Jennifer”.

Measurements:
Length from shoulder to lower edge, 7”
Sleeve seam, 2¼“

Materials:
2 ozs. 3-ply wool in blue,
1 oz. each of red and green and yellow

1 pair of No. 10 and 1 pair of No. 12 needles
1 medium size crochet hook.

Tension: 8 sts. and 10 rows to 1 in.

Tension: 32 stitches and 40 rows to 10cm.
