Ciarnan’s Cover is a knit-from-the-center-out circle lap blanket (or circular shawl) done in worsted-weight wool on large needles. An eight-pointed, cabled star merges into eyelet triangles and twisted-stitch cables to create a sampler that, when viewed as a whole, creates a lovely snowflake design.

The attach-as-you-go border, reminiscent of the ocean waves pounding the Emerald Isle, adds an elegant finishing touch.

The final diameter is 60” to keep you and your loved ones cozy all winter long. This is the little brother to Colleen’s Cover … a 72” diameter blanket/circle shawl, also knit in worsted weight wool.

Directions are both charted and round-by-round.

The sample shown used just about all of three skeins of Shepherd’s Wool.
