This wonderfully rmantic scarf will be a joy to wear, no matter what the season is. It will dress up any outfit, at any time.

You will cast on this scarf and knit it lengthwise, from the bottom to the top. Working the ruffly lace portion, which is made through the magic of dropped stitches and then the garter stitch portion is worked to the bind off.

Looking closely, you will see 3 different edges for the lacey portion of the scarf. Those edges are determined by the cast on method that you use. In the directions, I tell you which cast on will create which edge.

Even though the pattern samples were done in cotton yarn, some of the tester knitters used sport weight wool and the scarf looks lovely in wool too.

If you meet gauge, your finished scarf should measure about 65” x 4.“

To knit this scarf, you need to know how to knit a twisted stitch and how to effectively drop stitches when told. :)
