The Clayoquot Sound scarf features lace and cable patterns meant to evoke the sand dollars, whale tails, ferns, and waves of the Pacific Coast.

After casting on provisionally, the scarf body and first border (waves) are worked. Then stitches are picked up from the provisional cast on in order to work the second border. A crochet loop bind off adds elegance.

The pattern assumes that you know how to read charts and cast on provisionally.
